How to Do Fourth of July Nails

Independence Day,4th of July, Declaration Day, 4 de Julio – whatever term you use to celebrate the day, it's all about being patriotic and showing your support. And one amazing and fun way to show your support is to paint your nails with a special Fourth of July nail art design. Here's how.

1 Start of by using a white and red polish to make three or four designs on two-thirds of your nail. If it makes it easier, you can also use a makeup brush.

Once that is dry, use a dark blue polish and paint the rest of your nail with it. It can go over the stripes, but they have to be completely dry if you want to do this.

Once you're sure that the blue polish is dry, use a small dotting tool or a toothpick dipped in white polish to create the stars. You can make them at random places, or you can form them in a straight row, depending on your patience and dexterity.

Add the finishing touches. Go over all of the lines and re-trace all of the dots to make them bolder. Then, add a top coat, let it dry, and you're done. Now you can wave the American Flag all day, showing off a truly patriotic design!
